My Non Negotiables

The wonderful Azaria from Being Mrs Lynch has tagged me to share a list of my Non Negotiables, the things that I would not like to be without and that make me a happier person.

  • Bedtime- I’ve always tried to be pretty consistent and at times possibly a little strict about bedtime with our Toddler, and now our littlest lady too. I think having a set bedtime is really important for both the littles and us parents too. My kiddies are always much happier after an early night and a full night of sleep, and hubby and I get to feel like ‘us’ for a few hours of the evening. On the odd occasion, one (or both) the littles will stay up late due to feeling poorly, or teething or generally just not wanting to sleep and those evenings are definitely tough. I love my girls more than anything but Mummy really needs some ‘me’ time too.
  • Breakfast- I used to skip breakfast on a regular occasion but I have now discovered that having breakfast makes for a much happier and energised Hannah. (It also stops me snacking all day which is always helpful in the weight loss effort!) Now I always make an effort to have something, even if only a bowl of cereal or a shake, and I’m a right grumpy wobbly mess if I forget.
  • Cuddles- I love a good cuddle and I will never turn down a cuddle with my babies or hubby. Our Toddler is liking cuddles less and less so the minute she does want a little hug I will abandon whatever I am doing and enjoy a little snuggle. I hope she will always want a cuddle with her Mummy, I’d be lost without them.
  • Disney- I adore Disney. The fact that every film or show has a moral is wonderful, we can all learn something from Disney, adults and children alike. We regularly sit down to watch a Disney movie together as a family and I hope this is a tradition we will keep forever. We laugh, cry and sing together (and sometimes after a little persuasion a boogie might be had too) and our Toddler is now starting to react to parts of films as she is understanding more and more. I grew up watching Disney and I intend to grow old watching Disney too.

I’m inviting the lovely Jade from The Parenting Jungle, the wonderful Emma from Island Living 365 and my fantabulous Mum and new blogger Liza from Greenbridge Alchemy to share their Non Negotiables.

What are your Non Negotiables? What can you simply not live without?

How lovely that your mum is blogging now! I’m with you on the breakfast. What would I add. I’d probably say the gym. I never ever thought I’d say that but the gym or running keeps me sane now. I’d probably put reading on. I don’t get much chance now but I feel you are never bored if you have a good book nearby. Thanks for linking up. #bigpinklink

I used to read a lot more, and I love to but recently I haven’t been able to ‘get into’ a book. And I wish I could add exercise, I really need to sort out a fitness routine…asap! Thanks for hosting lovely x
