Family Life

Family Photos December 2017

December was full of celebration for our family, there was the obvious excitement of Christmas but we also had a rather special birthday to celebrate for one of my favourite women, my Grandma. With our family living a good few hours apart its not often that we’re all together so to mark this special occasion and our Grandma’s 80th birthday my sister and I decided to arrange a family photoshoot.

When I reached out to find a photographer I was beyond delighted and excited when wonderful fellow blogger and incredibly talented photographer Nicole confirmed she was available on the date we wanted. On the day Nicole was incredibly friendly and patient and we all immediately felt at ease around her. We spent a little time taking group shots of the whole family with the beautiful Corfe Castle just in the background. Nicole then spent some time taking some absolutely stunning candid captures of Ed, I and the girls and I am so excited to share a few (lots) of them with you now.

If you’re in the Southampton area and on the look out for a photographer then definitely give Nicole a shout, we honestly could not be happier with the end result and I’ll definitely be calling upon her again when where in her neighbourhood again.

I never thought I’d be one to enjoy a family photo shoot but now I really hope to have at least one a year, getting a ‘nice’ photo of the four of us is never easy so knowing you have the time and patience of a photographer to help capture those memories is something I’ll be forever grateful for.

Have you ever had a family photo shoot? If you haven’t, is it something you’ve considered?

How beautiful – we are definitely into shots taken while we walk and play. Fixed photo shoots don’t work for us and I think it’s easy to capture the real looks when it’s just natural play. Lovely photos – esp the kids in the trees 🙂 #bigpinklink

The last time we had a family photograph taken it was at our wedding. So I think it’s about time we had another. Love the photos of the girls in the trees the best. #bigpinklink
