Days Out Family

A Muddy Walk in the Park

We finally had a few days of dry weather, so Toddler, Tiny Tot and I headed out for a play date at the park with a friend and her two girls.

I made a Mummy rookie mistake and forgot to bring wellies, not that it bothered Willow. Unfortunately though it did mean she had a good time destroying her trainers, jumping in puddles and squelching through mud.

To be honest I couldn’t have cared less, just seeing her happily running around and exploring made for one very happy Mummy. After weeks of being stuck indoors it was wonderful to have her play in the mud, look for sticks, climb on giant logs, wander through fields and have fun with her friend. The pair were so adorable together, they played so well together giving us Mummies a fairly stress free morning of walking and gossiping.

Off on her little Adventures.

Where are they off to?

Squelch squelch!

By the end we had two very muddy and wet but extremely happy toddlers. Next time I won’t forget our wellies, and maybe even her puddle suit. That way I won’t be worrying able her little tootsies getting damp and cold, or her clothes being soaked through.

It was so good to get out for the day, I love a crisp, clear, winters day, fingers crossed for more dry days and less rain in the coming weeks.

Thank you 🙂 I think my little one will be very sad when it starts to dry up and there’s no more mud to squelch around in! Your little lady definitely seems like the outdoorsy type too 🙂 Thank for hosting xx

So cute! Lovely that she could go out for a muddy walk with her friend, they look very happy exploring together. She doesn’t seem to be bothered about having only trainers on, so I think you got away with it anyway. My 2 year old is the same and loves running through mud and playing, it’s so sweet to watch! Thanks so much for linking up with #Whatevertheweather 🙂 x
