Week 19- A Book
Realising I have reached week 19 has filled me with both joy and a little sadness. In four weeks I’ll be writing my Week 23 after my first week back at work after maternity leave. I am definitely finding the thought of returning to work this time around a lot harder than after having Willow. I’m going to make sure I make the most of my last four weeks by enjoying the sun and enjoying lots of days out with my little ladies.
I have no idea why I chose to add this to my challenge, I mean how can I chose A Book to talk about? I’ve read so many amazing and wonderful books in the past (I must admit not many recently) that I have really struggled to pick just one book, so I’ve decided to talk about a series of books that I am sure everyone will have heard of (at least I flippin’ well hope so!!)…..Harry Potter.
The Harry Potter series will forever have a special space in my heart for being the first book to completely mesmerise me and take me away from my everyday teenage woes. I would tuck myself away in a corner with one of the books and I would immediately be a student at Hogwarts, trying one of the Bertie Bott’s every flavour beans on the Hogwart’s express or enjoying a glass of Butterbeer in the Three Broomsticks. They were the first and only books I have queued at midnight, waiting for its release and then read cover to cover in 24 hours.
Even now I can pick up the books and instantly be taken away to the magical land and I can often be found watching one of the Harry Potter films when I’m feeling a bit down. Do you have a book or story that reminds you of your childhood and always takes you to some distant place?
