KidloLand is an app aimed at children under 5 and my Mum has had on her iPhone as an ’emergency’ source of entertainment for Willow since she was about 6 months old. Over the last two years my Mum has slowly purchased a few extra songs to add to the selection already offered with the free download and Willow has loved each and everyone of them. So when KidloLand contacted us a few weeks with the offer of us reviewing their full app, we jumped at the chance.

Willow has always loved singing and dancing along with nursery rhymes, now even more than ever. KidloLand has over 260 nursery rhymes and songs to choose from meaning we are never without a new song to learn or learn the actions to. Even little Allana now likes to dance along to the rhymes and in the last week has started to clap too! We love how interactive the songs are, with a single tap, a character or animal simply ‘comes to life’ right on the screen.

Willow is joining the preschool class at her nursery in September and for the past few months we’ve been working on teaching her numbers, the alphabet and colours. KidloLand is proving to be the perfect learning companion  due to their original educational songs and games specifically aimed at learning their ABC’s, Animals, Fruits, Vegetables and much more.

We have already found that the app is aiding Willow’s hand-eye coordination and memory with its many activities. We have literally only just touched the surface of over 100 educational activities and can’t wait to see what others we come across over the coming days, weeks and months.

KidloLand is bright, colourful and clear meaning the children find it super easy and fun to use. The games are pretty self explanatory and I have been both amazed and impressed with how quickly and well Willow has picked up how to play each activity.

To stop the littles from being able to access the settings and make changes or purchases an adult has to answer a maths sum to gain access.

We love this app, it has proven to be an absolute lifesaver on long car journeys, a perfect and educational distraction when I am trying to cook Dinner or complete housework and a fun family activity on a rainy or (recently) a very hot day. I think its wonderful how its so well suited to both our Tot and Toddler and I am sure it will continue to be a fun, entertaining and educational edition to our household for years to come.
