Our Mummy & Willow Date at Lush

10th July 2017 30 Comments

Willow and I were lucky enough to got to a Mummy and Child Blogger Event at our local Lush store just a few weeks ago. Both Willow and I were super excited to smell, test and even make some beautiful Lush products but I was even more excited to spend some one to one time with my little Willow tree.

Willow thoroughly enjoyed getting involved with making her very own ‘Ickle Baby Bot’ bath bomb and loved using it in the bath even more. So much so that she’s now demanding bath bombs on a daily basis, I have a feeling bath time could become a rather expensive part of our day!

The children all get a chance to play with ‘Fun’ a brilliant mouldable and versatile Lush product which can be used in a huge variety of ways as soap, shampoo or bubble bath (just check out the bubbles in the jug!!!). The littles got very creative with the moulding and if I remember rightly we had a couple of monsters and aliens.

The Lush girls really knew what they were talking about and were absolutely brilliant with all the littles. Whilst the little ones were all distracted with ‘Fun,’ us Mumma’s got an opportunity to hear more about a few of their wonderful products as well as give them a little try if we wanted, I now have a rather long list of Lush products I’d like…..

Willow and I both loved all the brightly coloured bath bombs and have now tried out quite a few, ‘Think Pink’ is our favourite so far! We were given a few products to take home to try out and I am loving my ‘Honey I Washed my Hair’ shampoo bar, I think it will also be brilliant to take on any travels.

I loved spending some quality time with my biggest little lady, I hadn’t realised how much I’d missed spending some time just the two of us. It was lovely to see how her little personality is developing, she has the most hilarious little character, full of sass, joy, comedy and confidence. She is such a social little butterfly and was more than happy to talk to everyone and show off her little dance moves too! I now plan on trying to dedicate more one to one time with each of my girls, its not always easy to do but I now realise how important it is. I think Willow and I’s special date spot will forever be a little girly trip to the Lush store.

A special little thank you to all the staff at the Plymouth Lush Store, we had the most wonderful time, the products were gorgeous and the Vegan snacks and drinks were delicious!!

How do you fit in one to one time with your children? Do you have any favourite ‘Date’ spots with your littles?

It looks so much fun, I really do love Lush and I’ve been a fan for a long time. I remember there original company Cosmetics-to-Go where I used to get a catalogue through the post to order from, it was way before ordering online was available!! The products were very similar though. My girls would love to make their own bath bombs.

This looks such fun. 🙂 The Tubblet and I have a coffee shop that’s a bit out of the way that we go on for mummy and daughter time when Rev T is away. It’s our Mummy and Me place. When he’s with us, he’s only allowed to come if she agrees. Otherwise we go else where.

I would have been in heaven inside that lush store!! Everytime I walk past one I am drawn inside by the glorious aromas wafting in the air. I have tried lots of different products over the years and they make such lovely gifts for people. How nice to spend some one on one time with your daughter too, looks like it was a great girly day out xx #bigpinklink

This looks like such a great event, my daughter would love something like this. My youngest isn’t in school yet so we get plenty of one on one time but I love having special days out just with my son every now and then. It usually involves a Pizza Hut buffet lunch and a trip to the cinema x

I wish I had a place like that to take my kids!!! They are so into making slime and that activity seems similar! We are pretty laid back here…mostly home bodies since we live in a very small town that doesn’t have much to offer. But we create our own fun at home!

I love this! It sounds amazing and just what you both needed, it’s so hard to get the one on one time isn’t it? But extra precious when you do I think. Thanks for being a super co-host. Lovely to have you back. #bigpinklink
